The course includes attendance at six Anglia Capital Group, combined with their membership and our education, providing a pathway to help self-certify as a high-net-worth or sophisticated investor.

Angel Investor Training Programme Overview

Delivered over one year, the programme covers six sessions—each offering a distinct perspective on investment, problem definition, solution evaluation, go-to-market strategy, customer success operations, and financial analysis. This integrated approach builds a holistic understanding of venture investing. Each session blends theory, group work or expert panels, and a venture showcase. Sessions are held in person when showcases are live and virtually when showcases are online. This training programme is written and delivered by Novated Ltd, Founder Dr Stephen Scruton & Team.

Curriculum Structure

Analytical Foundations

• Investors / Risk and Opportunity: Innovation portfolios and investment decisions
• CEO / Problem Definition: Framing customer problems and strategic focus
• CTO / Solution Evaluation: Assessing feasibility and innovation pathways

Commercial and Operational Execution

• CMO / Go-to-Market: Understand channels to market and commercial traction
• COO / Customer Success: Design for retention, lifetime value, viral referral growth
• CFO / Financials: Analyse revenue models, unit economics, funding, value creation

Programme Logistics and Delivery Model

• Six sessions delivered over one year, primarily in person; virtual when showcase virtual
• Diverse cohort includes corporate innovation L&D, angels enhancing skills, new angels
• Participants receive documented hours eligible for professional CPD

• Options for corporate groups to join a cohort (min 10 participants)
• Fees: £2,400 + VAT per person
